Deadline for college withdrawal applications pushed back

Requests to drop out of Trinity without any fee implications are now due November 13

Today it was announced, through the official Senior Tutor’s office twitter account, that applications of withdrawal from Trinity without any fee implications will now be due by November 13, after a decision was made to push the deadline back.

Dr Aiden Seery’s office went on to say to students considering such an application, “please reach out to your tutor or our office if you need to discuss a potential withdrawal”. This move comes after the extended deadline for college registration ended on Tuesday, October 27.

While it is not the job of tutors to convince students to stay in college, they are responsible for making sure each student weighing this option is well informed of the implications and dimensions of such a decision.

The Senior Tutor’s office also advises anyone who is considering putting in an application for withdrawal to make an appointment to discuss this with a careers advisor.
