Harry Potter “hack” hints at upcoming Litsoc event

A series of Harry-Potter related photos and messages were posted across several society and Students’ Union accounts today, hinting at an upcoming event for Trinity Literary Society (Litsoc).

The posts, all of which contained the caption “<this is a hack>,” referenced Harry Potter trivia and were posted at 6pm today.

A photo posted on the Trinity College Dublin Students’ Union (TCDSU) Facebook page was headlined “seeking all members of Dumbledore’s army,” and stated “more information cannot be made available in case we are hacked. All will be clear soon”.

Other posts across the Facebook pages of Trinity Ents, DU Players, DU Comedy, Voluntary Tuition Programme (VTP), TCD Architectural Society, DU Germanic Society, TCD Jewish Society and DU Gender Equality Society (DUGES).

In a statement to Trinity News, Litsoc Librarian Amber Connell was coy about the upcoming event. “We have received certain communications from magical authorities which we are not, at this moment in time, at liberty to share.”
