Joe Biden visits Trinity

The former Vice President of the United States is at Trinity campus today

Joseph Biden, former Vice President of the United States, is visiting Trinity campus. He was in Trinity today to visit the Book of Kells and The Long Room.  Vice provost Chris Morash accompanied him this morning on his visit.

Biden received an honorary doctorate from Trinity College in 2016 during his 5 day trip to Ireland. It was his first such degree from a university outside the United States.

While visiting Ireland last June, Biden attended a dinner for the American Ireland fund and was also awarded with a gold medal by the students of the Trinity’s Philosophical Society (Phil). During his trip, he visited Dublin, Louth and Mayo, and played golf with the then Taoiseach, Enda Kenny.
