Trinity ranked in top 125 universities for engineering

Trinity is in the top 40 European universities in the Times subject ranking

Trinity has been named in the top 125 universities in the world for Engineering and Technology in the Times World University Rankings for 2018, making it the highest ranking Irish university and placing it in the top 40 of European universities.

The ranking is based off different pillars such as their Overall Score (48.9-52.2), Citations (83.9), Industry Income (32.8), International Outlook (83.1), Research (34.0), Teaching (34.0).

Trinity ranked between 101-125 in the world for engineering and 176-200 in computer science.

University College Dublin (UCD) and National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) both ranked between 151-175, and joint second in Ireland. University College Cork (UCC) ranked 201-250 in the subject rankings with Dublin City University (DCU) ranking 201-250. Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) was named in the top 500.

Trinity has risen in both the Times’ and Quacquarelli Symonds’ (QS) general university rankings. In the Times rankings, Trinity rose to 117th this year, while it placed 88th in the QS rankings.
