Updated dates for this year’s supplemental examinations have been announced. This follows the introduction of a new academic year structure as part of the Trinity Education Programme (TEP).

Supplemental examinations will now be held from August 18 to 25, with the results of the examinations announced on September 21. Special examinations, known as super supplementals, will now be held on September 24 to 28. The new dates were announced this afternoon in an email sent by Academic Registry to all students. The changes were approved at a meeting of the University Council on January 17.

This year’s summer break period will now be two weeks shorter than usual to allow for the transition, with the academic year for 2018/19 starting on September 10.

TEP is a College-wide project to change Trinity’s education provision, and is one of the initiatives of Trinity’s Strategic Plan 2014-19.

TEP aims to change the way Trinity students are taught, prepared, and examined. The main structure change is the introduction of a Christmas exam period. All TEP reforms will be implemented in  the 2018/19 academic year.
