A new university rankings system designed by Emerging, a French human resource and consulting agency, has placed Trinity College students as 119 on their list of the 150 most employable graduates by international employers.
Over 2,287 recruiters from international companies helped in creating the survey. Employers were told to give a list of the 10 most valuable universities when it came to considering graduates. Scores were calculated based on how many employers recommended a particular university.
Trinity was the only Irish university to make the list, and shared 119th place with Purdue University and University of Alberta
The most employable graduates, according to the list, came from Harvard University, which received a score of 662, nearly six-times that of Trinity’s score.
Trinity’s Careers Advisory Service Director, Sean Gannon commented: “The Global Employability University Ranking confirms what employers both internationally and nationally value in our graduates – their confidence, problem solving and communication skills, as well as their global outlook.
