Trinity Ball has sold out in just under 5 hours today. Tickets, priced at €87, went on sale this morning at 9am with Trinity Ents posting on Facebook that all online and offline tickets had been purchased just before 2pm.
Speaking on the development, Ents Officer for Trinity College Dublin Students’ Union (TCDSU), Padraic Rowley said: “The second the online ceased, my Facebook – both personal and the Ents page – exploded with messages, along with my email, even my mobile number started getting calls. I’ve never experienced anything like this scramble for tickets.”
Tickets could be purchased in three ways: online, at the SU Shop in House 6 and over the phone, with a long queue forming early this morning outside House 6. Tickets can be collected on the day of the Ball.
Trinity Ball will take place on April 7 this year with Bloc Party headlining. Other acts playing include the Riptide Movement, the Strypes and Blossoms. New reforms were announced recently with doors opening on the night at 9pm, with all ticket holders required to be in the venue by 10:30pm.
