Rejjie Snow to play Trinity Ball

This year’s Trinity Ball will take place on April 17

The Irish rapper Alex Anyaegbunam, known better by his stage name Rejjie Snow, has been confirmed to Trinity News as the first act in this year’s Trinity Ball lineup.

The hip-hop artist is originally from Drumcondra in Dublin and released his debut album Dear Annie in 2018. In the same year he was named hip-hop artist of the year by Hot Press.

Snow’s first single, Rejovich, which was released in 2013, reached the top of the iTunes Hip-Hop chart. He is signed with the label 300 Entertainment.

Snow is currently completing a tour that will take him to Mexico, and has announced dates for shows in Australia during April and May.

Trinity Ball is an annual event, organised jointly by promoter MCD Productions and the Ents Officer of Trinity College Dublin Students’ Union (TCDSU). Last year, online tickets for the event sold out within 50 minutes of being released.

Speaking to Trinity News, Judith Robinson, current TCDSU Ents Officer, said that there is a “fantastic lineup for the ball this year”, which she said would feature a “huge variety of different genres”.

Robinson added that she is “extremely happy” with the lineup and is “sure that the students will be too.”

The full lineup will be released in the coming weeks, with a launch party to be held on Sunday February 16.

This year’s Trinity Ball is due to take place on April 17.
