An individual was arrested on Trinity’s campus yesterday evening on suspicion of robbery.
The detainment was made yesterday evening near Front Square at approximately 5:25pm. More than two guards were involved with the arrest, according to an eyewitness.
A College spokesperson told Trinity News, “the Gardaí came on campus in pursuit of an individual suspected of theft from a nearby shop,” and continued by saying that “the arrest was made on campus and the individual had no connection with Trinity”.
Gardaí were unable to provide further information when contacted for comment.
