Niamh Lynch elected next editor of Trinity News

Lynch is the current Deputy Editor for Trinity News

Niamh Lynch, Editor-elect of Trinity News

Niamh Lynch was elected the next Editor of Trinity News by the paper’s editorial staff at the Trinity News Annual General Meeting (AGM) last night.

Lynch, the current Deputy Editor ran for Editor against Rory O’Neill, the current Managing Editor. The editorial staff voted under secret ballot following speeches made by both candidates and a Q and A session.

Lynch, who worked as News Editor last year, is a Junior Sophister History and Political Science student from Donegal. She will begin her tenure as Editor in early May.

On a personal note, Niamh has been a pleasure to work with this year. She is a talented, versatile journalist who has worked diligently on every aspect of Trinity News. I’m confident she will lead the newspaper to new successes and I wish her the best of luck going in to next year.
