Kinsella reopens after power outage forces closure

Students were left to find alternative study spaces in the midst of exam season

The Ussher Library has reopened after an overnight power outage caused it to be closed until this afternoon.

In a tweet at 11:17 this morning College said that “due to unforeseen circumstances, the Ussher Library is currently closed until further notice.”

It went on to say that “the former Berkeley, Lecky and Hamilton Libraries are open today, from 11.00am until 4.45pm with hundreds of study spaces”.

Eyewitnesses told Trinity News that some people had queued outside the Ussher for two hours for it to open.

“People keep arriving because they haven’t sent any emails about it,” she continued.

College has been contacted for further comment.
